Jaycee Dugard explained in the two-hour interview set to air on Sunday’s Primetime with Diane Sawyer that early on her only companion was a spider she called “Bianca.” ABC News‘ exclusive interview by Diane Sawyer, which aired Sunday, was occasionally revealing. Dugard opened up about her experiences at the hands of her captors, Phillip Garrido, 60, and Nancy Garrido, 55.

“I would live in my own world,” Dugard told Sawyer. “Physical abuse was all I knew.” Jaycee Dugard told ABC News’ Diane Sawyer, “It was like the most horrible moment of your life times 10.” “I can’t imagine being beaten to death, you know? And you can’t imagine being kidnapped and raped, you know? So, it’s just, you just do what you have to do to survive.”

Jaycee Dugard now 31, kidnapping and raping case that 60-years old Phillip Garrido was sentenced to 431 years by a California court after pleading guilty to kidnapping and 13 sexual assault charges, including six counts of rape and seven counts of committing lewd acts captured on video. Nancy Garrido was arrested in 1972 also and charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, but the case did not go to trial after the girl declined to testify.
