Maria Shriver got in a subtle-yet-effective dig at her cheating husband Arnold Schwarzenegger while honoring her good friend Oprah Winfrey at the star's big goodbye bash. A Farewell Spectacular” in Chicago on Tuesday night, her first public appearance since Arnold Schwarzenegger admitted to fathering a child with a former staffer.
Less than 24 hours after her husband Arnold Schwarzenegger announced he has a secret love child, Maria Shriver got up on stage in front of thousands of people. Shriver was actually at dinner with Winfrey on Monday when she learned of Schwarzenegger’s decision to go public with his secks scandal. Next Wednesday, May 25, the highly-anticipated final Oprah Winfrey Show will air.
"The Oprah Winfrey Show" is ending its run May 25, after 25 years, and millions of her fans around the globe are waiting to see how she will close out a show that spawned a media empire.
"I know I would not have gone on without receiving those gifts from you," added Shriver as the audience applauded. "You believed in others so they could believe in themselves. You taught young women and men to focus on learning everything you can so they can give the world everything that they are."
